As "ant scouts," kids use the photo option in their Active Explorer toolkit to take close-up pictures of three living and three non-living things in their environment. This Quest requires inexpensive mobile phone "macro lenses" (about $3 each) or a magnifying glass to hold in front of the phone camera.
- ConservationCreated 7/4/2014 by Ms. DowneyThis quest has students find a habitat and observe the plants and animals living in that habitat. Students are also asked to look for items that don't belong in that habitat, such as trash or food, and are then asked to reflect on how seeing those items makes them feel.
