Be the first at WMSG to learn about capturing the power of the sun!  Join Mr. Kelley's Active Explorer Quest called "Exploring Solar Power at WMSG." 

Short App Introduction

 Tell your friends why you are interested in solar power and show them the special equipment you need!  Interview a friend and ask them what they know about solar power. They can see themselves interviewed on your Quest webpage!

 

Web Introduction

Using the Toolbox on your SmartPhone and your own webpage,  create a 10-page Presentation about what you are doing at WMSG to learn about solar power.  These are your slides:

Slide #1  -  Write 2 paragraphs introducing yourself to your audience.  Use the "Text" app on your phone.

Slide #2 - Interview another student at WMSG. Ask them this question:  "Tell me everything that you know already about solar power."  Give them two minutes to write down their thoughts and then record their answer with the Video app.  

Slide #3 to Slide #10 - Take 8 pictures of the equipment you use in your solar power kit from Spark Club.  Give each picture a Title and a caption.  

Media Assets

  • Create a Presentation (10 slides) about what you are doing to learn about solar power at WMSG.
  • Slide #1 - Write two paragraphs of three sentences each introducing yourself to those who will read your presentation. Use the "Text" app on your phone.
  • Slide #2 - Interview another student at WMSG abour solar power. Record their answer to this question: "Tell me everything that you know already about solar power." Give them two minutes to write down their thoughts and then record their answer with the Video app. Their answer should be no longer than 30 seconds.
  • Slide #3 to Slide #10 - Take one picture of each of 8 pieces of equipment you will need to use in your solar power kit from Spark Club. Give each picture a Title and a Caption.
